Chef Hui Mei Tak

Chef Hui Meitak has been in the industry for 30 years and counting. Born and raised in Chiu Chow, he admired his mother who passed on her knowledge and passion for Chiu Chow cuisine, which inspired him to become a chef. Chef Hui joined Buick Management Limited almost 20 years ago and goes by the motto of, “Preserving tradition and continuing to create.” Our carefully selected dishes for the Master Chef’s Choice menu are the perfect example of this; with every dish meticulously planned to have elements of tradition and Chiu Chow culture, while introducing new methods of preparation and presentation.


Master Chef’s Choice

Comprising eight delightful courses, the special menu created by award-winning Chef Hui Meitak highlights the intricacy and flavors of traditional Chiu Chow fare in a new and innovative style. The signature dish of this menu is our Chiu Chow Crystal Ball Bird’s Nest. Bird’s Nest is a Chinese delicacy and in this dish Chef Hui incorporated flavours from chicken and Chinese Ham and is serving the dish in the form of a Crystal Ball. The flavours and textures are well balanced and provide a wealth of nutrients to nourish the body from within.

Fifty-five years later, the original clients have passed on the tradition of visiting our restaurant to the next generation.
